Istrienwoche der vierten Klassen

Meer, Kultur, Gemeinschaft und viel Selbständigkeit

In the evening we did another boat tour, but we didn’t go to any island like several hours before. Instead, everybody stayed on the ship and was looking for dolphins. I haven’t seen dolphins since I was nine years old, therefore I was really looking forward to maybe watch them again. Unfortunately, there were just waves, more waves and guess? Even more waves. Suddenly someone shouted: “A dolphin, a dolphin! Over there!” I grabbed my phone out of my bag immediately and took as many photos and videos as I could. It was a great experience. For me personally, it was the most special week ever, because many of us did things we had never done before!

My friends and I went to get breakfast (it was always so delicious by the way!) and then packed our stuff, because today we were planning on going on a boat. At around eight we all were already going with it to an island called San Giovanni. The air was kind of fresh, but the sun was shining and it was great weather. When we arrived at the island it was already really warm and we split into three groups. One group was snorkeling, the other one was making art with trash on the beach and the last one was learning about nature in the ocean. Every group did all the activities and it was so much fun! When it was my time to snorkel, I was so excited and the sea was actually really beautiful. To my surprise the water was warm and so turquoise! The only annoying thing was that there were jellyfish everywhere!

It was so hot already, but I enjoyed every second of it, because I knew how cold and rainy it was back home! We now were told to search for trash and make something out of it, it should be a kind of “fairy tale.” My group had the idea to build a miniature castle with a princess and everything- It was so cool. You could really see what kind of junk people leave behind and it was kind of sad to be honest. At the end, every group had created an individual piece of art and everything was so pretty.

Finally, I want to tell you how much I liked the whole trip and how thankful I am to be able to make so beautiful memories with my best friends!
